Record review
Peter Spiegel, Ideal Living, and JKP.
What the reviewed public record shows about the connections at the center of Reckless Ben’s investigation — and where the record ends.
What this page is
This page reviews the public record behind claims that connect Peter Spiegel, Ideal Living, and the JKP / Barsana Dham organizations. It separates what the reviewed sources establish from what they do not, and labels every statement by source type. Dates and courts are Texas / United States unless stated.
Who Peter Spiegel is, per Ideal Living
First-party statement
Ideal Living’s own team page identifies Peter Spiegel as a founder and co-CEO, alongside Katie Williams. This is a first-party company statement, not an independent record.

Court record
A 2009 Texas appellate opinion (case 03-08-00768-CR) calls Spiegel a member of the Barsana Dham community and records his role in the bond agreement for Prakashanand Saraswati. The connection is documented in the reviewed court record.

Court record Limit applies
The same opinion records Spiegel’s guarantee of a $10 million personal bond permitting Saraswati to travel to India while child-indecency charges were pending. The reviewed wording is a personal bond guarantee. It is not shown as a $10 million cash payment or donation, and the opinion does not show an Ideal Living payment.
Distinguish the words: bond, guarantee, surety, cash deposit, and payment are different things. This record supports the guarantee, not the others.

Entity record Identity unconfirmed
An IRS Texas extract reviewed August 28, 2026 lists JKP Radha Madhav Dham (EIN 74-2673063) and JKP Foundation Inc. (EIN 26-1492760) at the same Barsana Road address. A Texas roster lists a person named Kathleen Williams as a JKP Foundation director, but it does not independently identify her as Ideal Living’s Katie Williams or give an active year.
Association and shared addresses are documented. Identity alignment between “Kathleen Williams” and “Katie Williams” is not independently confirmed.

- No reviewed public ledger established that Ideal Living paid JKP for abuse, trafficking, or escape.
- The 2012 escape reporting reviewed for the baseline does not name Peter Spiegel, Kathleen Williams, or Ideal Living as participants.
- The video’s broader allegations — a trafficking ring, criminal financing, bribery, suppression — remain attributed allegations, not findings of this project.
Names, places, and ambiguity
“JKP” and “Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat” are also used by other organizations and devotional content in India. “Saraswati” is a common name. Barsana Dham is also known as Radha Madhav Dham in some records. This page covers only the Texas / United States entities and the exact records tied to this case. Do not assume that similarly named people or organizations are the same.
Proves / does not prove
- Established: Spiegel is identified by Ideal Living as founder and co-CEO; a Texas court opinion records his Barsana Dham membership and $10 million personal bond guarantee.
- Not established: Ideal Living-to-JKP payments, criminal financing, trafficking, escape participation, or any merits judgment against Spiegel.
